Yeah you heard me! The execs at Mattel are all over the new Webkinz craze. Actually, I'm sure every toy company in the world has its eyes on Webkinz.
Barbie launched a virtual world three months ago after seeing the success of Ganz's Webkinz and Club Penguin. Now the real copy part comes in with their new Barbie doll, which is a new Barbie Girls mp3 doll.
It's a mp3 player that can have accessories added on like a doll. There is also special features like you can get cool animations. Like Webkinz, you can make friends and shop in a virtual world. The mp3 player can hold only 120 Mp3s.
I'm not sure what to think. They are trying to compete with Apple's iPod and Webkinz at the same time. Do I really want to dress up a MP3 player?
Not really. I guess we'll have to find out. I'm still going to be finding more Webkinz for sale. Gotta get em all.
