Webkinz for Sale

I read a fascinating post by Wesley Fryer about his 7 year and 9 year old kids playing with their Webkinz. He is a leading educator who emphasizes technology in the classrom, which is why I am not surprised he loves that his kids are playing with Webkinz.

He talks about how games like Webkinz is allowing kids to be self-directed in their learning. Kids are always exploring new ways to solve problems in the little virtual pet world. I guess I should say BIG pet world! He says he'll let them sit and play the game all day long as long as they eat once in awhile!

What a dad!

We need more people like Wesley Fryer. His forward thinking abilities is what is going to help his kids become successful in the unknown future. Yay Wesley!

Keep playing Webkinz everyone! Just remember to eat!

Webkinz has done something quite amazing. It has more visitors than Club Penguin. If you don't know, Club Penguin is a pretty cool online site to play around. I like it, but it looks like Webkinz is that much more popular!

Disney bought Club Penguin for $350 million with an option for the price to top $700 million. Does this mean Webkinz may be bought for a lot more? Maybe so!

Check out this article for more information.

Webkinz toys are the hottest items since tickle me elmo and beanie babies. There are several news articles coming out everyday! Local stores are constantly selling out of these cuddly creatures.

Advertising Age talks about the owners of Sweet Be's Candy & Gifts in suburban St. Louis. They say that their staff has doubled in the past six months and added a second phone line just to cope with the requests for Webkinz.

Amazing!

The popularity of Webkinz seems to be going up and up everyday. Who knows when it'll peak! I guess we'll just have to find out.
